SpiritED Bloom’s Philosophy

Our approach is grounded in an interdisciplinary, evidence-informed framework that integrates neuroscience, understanding of executive and  cognitive functioning, and holistic practices. We begin by strengthening self-regulation—the foundation of executive functioning—recognizing its critical role in emotional regulation, attention, behavior, and goal-directed learning. By connecting the why and how of brain-based processes, nervous system regulation, and learning modalities, we help individuals build clarity, resilience, and long-term success across academic, personal, and professional settings.

Through a deeper understanding of how neurodiverse brains function and learn, individuals develop sustainable strategies to reduce overwhelm, improve follow-through, and navigate challenges with confidence. Whether supporting parents in improving family dynamics, guiding adults with ADHD toward self-acceptance and productivity, or equipping educators with inclusive, research-backed strategies, our work centers on helping people understand their brains, honor diverse learning styles, harness their strengths, and reach their goals with confidence.

About the Founder

Alicia Kohls, M.Ed., PCAC, founder and CEO of SpiritED Bloom, is a Professional Certified ADHD Coach, educational consultant, and educator with over a decade of experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, families, and educators. As a mom with ADHD raising two beautifully spirited children, Alicia brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Her journey includes navigating emotional intensity, dealing with sensitivities, and maladaptive perfectionism—patterns later understood as responses to undiagnosed ADHD. A late diagnosis provided clarity around lifelong challenges with executive functioning skills such as organization, task completion, working memory, and follow-through.

Through her personal and professional work, Alicia has integrated neuroscience, executive functioning research, learning modalities, and holistic wellness practices to support self-regulation and sustainable growth. She specializes in strengths-based, evidence-informed strategies that help neurodivergent individuals reduce overwhelm, build self-awareness, and work with—rather than against—their brains. Whether supporting parents in strengthening family dynamics, guiding adults toward self-acceptance and productivity, or partnering with educators to create inclusive learning environments, Alicia’s work centers on understanding the brain, harnessing strengths, and moving forward with confidence and empowerment. Her work bridges neuroscience, lived experience, and practical application to support lasting change.
